Our Science Featured In

Our founder

Dr. Susanna Søberg

A leading researcher in metabolism and contrast therapy, with over a decade of work on how cold and heat exposure affect human physiology.

Her research has been published in leading journals and applied in real-world settings globally.

science backed Contrast Therapy

Our work began with a fundamental scientific question:
What actually keeps humans healthy over time?
Early research focused on how the body responds to stress, temperature, and recovery.

The roots of health - the Clinical relevance

The question was explored in humans examining human brown fat activation and outcomes on metabolism with cold water immersion and sauna. Years of clinical research followed. The goal was not optimisation, but relevance and identifying outcomes that were measurable, repeatable, and meaningful for long-term health.

Scientific validation

In 2021, this work was published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. The findings confirmed that structured contrast therapy can increase metabolic activity and reduce physiological stress with clinically relevant outcomes.

From research to system

The work continued and the scientific framework was refined, tested, and applied in real-world settings. We have built a system of programs to reduce stress which are science-based, repeatable, and adaptable to human life.

Led by experience and backed by science

Thermalist® are science backed programs built on human biology and years of scientific research. Our programs offer stress reduction and we prove how the body adapts to stress, temperature, and recovery. These are mechanisms that can be trained to support long-term health.
